Hong Kong’s healthcare system has come under pressure from a surge in the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases and the demand for testing. To alleviate the public burden, Path Lab under EC Healthcare provides nasal and throat swabs and tests for people without the symptoms of COVID-19.

The service is provided by a government-approved laboratory with an accuracy of 99.99%, where test results will be sent within 48 hours via SMS. The test fee is HK $600 per visit.

The laboratory will provide the above laboratory services from 8.30 am to 12 noon starting from February (except Sundays and public holidays). Those in need can make an appointment through the EC Healthcare Online store.

Matters needing attention:

– If you feel unwell, do not go directly to the laboratory. Seek medical advice immediately

– Visitors to the laboratory are requested to follow the designated passageway. Do not enter the main entrance of the building

– Combined nasal and throat swabs will be taken for adults and children, and stool samples will be taken for infants and young children as directed by the laboratory

– This test result is not applicable to the proof of departure
